If you are planning on attending the University of Arizona, please apply soon. Even if you plan to study English first, it is important to begin the university application process early as it takes some time.
- The deadline to submit an application to the University of Arizona for Fall (August), 2026 is March 1, 2026. Application link: https://international-admissions.arizona.edu/
- If you are interested in CESL’s University Track program, then you will want to earn Conditional Admission to the University of Arizona (conditional admission means that you are academically admissible but just need to increase your English level)
- To submit the most competitive University of Arizona application possible, please make sure you have the following:
- All requested grade transcripts with certified translations if not in English
- An application essay (please make sure to include the essay about why you want to study your major at the University of Arizona)
- A list of activities you did in high school (or college, if you’ve attended college); these can be extra school activities or other things you did, such as helping with a family business, tutoring other students, sports, arts, hobbies, etc. (please include your activities).
- English proficiency scores. Even if you do not have the level required for University admission, please submit the scores you have. Ideally they will be at least 59 TOEFL/5.5 IELTS or equivalent, so that you can take CESL’s U-Track and then hopefully earn an endorsement (meaning you don’t need to submit test scores again). CESL also offers an exam that is accepted by U of A, the CEPT Full Academic. It is relatively inexpensive and easy to take.
Please contact us if you have any questions. Applying to the University of Arizona is not required for attending CESL, but if it is your goal to attend the University of Arizona, you should apply soon because it is a process with many steps that takes some time and it’s better to get your conditional admission soon.
